“Irrigation of the land with seawater desalinated by fusion power is ancient. It’s called rain.”
Michael McClary

.. and so the monsoon plays truant again. This spoiled child of nature is always a bag of tricks. When then will

it come to play in this grounds of our wants? We wait for the clouds , dark and white, the flashes of light and

the roll of thunder …. and organise a film festival around the theme Water. Voices from the waters we call it

and hope to show to this fair city and its audience 140 films on Water. Waiting for things to unfold in the rain.

Meeting at CIVIC

June 1, 2007

I was at CIVIC- Citizens Voluntary Initiative for the city- today and had a very interesting conversation with Vinutha and Venkatesh the program coordinators  on the Right To Information. The anecdotal evidence is very strong on the problems Below Poverty Line people face in exercising their rights. People are simply not entertained by the officers I wish they could blog on a daily basis and put this information up. There are lots of learnings and course corrections possible.
